Soul training is about creating rhythms and space for connecting with our Creator. We live in a culture that values speed and pushes many of us to hurry. Demands of work, family and even church, if left unopposed, tend to cultivate the habit of being in a hurry. Many people find it difficult to slow down, even if they understand the harm done to their souls and relationships by always being in a rush. Slowing down takes margin. You might want to check out the Soul Training about Margin if you missed it. Slowing down takes intentionality and practice.Read more: July 27 — Slowing Down
Join us at 7:00pm on Monday, August 4th, for our next Congregational Conversation. Discussion will center on plans for The CANA Project and the Christmas musical, along with the opportunity for the congregation to discuss Saturday/Sunday worship topics. Child care will be provided.
Sunday, August 24th
Last August, the Trinity church family came together for a great day of food and fun: live music, bounce house, dunk tank, NASCAR racers, face painting, basketball -- all with an open invitation to our neighborhood and friends. This year's event is going to be even better, with all of that and new fun stuff being added as we get closer!
Mark your calendar for Sunday, August 24th. There will be a single worship service at 10am that day, with the Block Party to begin immediately following. You can sign up in the foyer: $5/person, and consider paying for your guests so they come with you absolutely free. This is NOT just a church picnic -- this is a ministry opportunity for you to bring friends to meet and rub shoulders with your church family -- and frankly, we hope they want to see and know more.
The Governance Board is committed to open and timely communication during changes in Trinity's pastoral leadership. Attend the occasional Congregational Conversations, sign up for the Loop to receive email updates and visit this website regularly. Check out these Frequently Asked Questions. If you have a question that you don't see adressed, please contact our Church Chairman, Dennis Platt.
