Coronavirus Update: 3/16/2020
Ashley Bailey

Dear Trinity Family,

The church leadership and ministry leaders have been working to arrive at a plan for the next few weeks which recognizes the constraints of the Coronavirus situation, but allows the people of our church to continue to meet and to worship.  After discussion and prayer, the team has adopted the following policies for the near term.

All of these are in effect until the end of March:
  • Sunday worship will be held via livestream only at 10:15am.  All other Sunday morning classes and groups will not meet.  We encourage Life Groups and groups of friends to gather in homes for worship and fellowship in conjunction with the livestream services.
  • Large gatherings will be canceled or postponed.  The leaders of each of the affected meetings will contact participants with specific details.  Affected gatherings include:
    1. Middle School Youth Group/Club 56
    2. High School Youth Group
    3. Bible Study Fellowship
    4. MOPS
    5. Alpha
    6. IF Manchester
  •  Gatherings of approximately 20 people or less may continue as planned, both at the church and in other locations.  The decision to meet is up to each group.  This includes Life Groups, meetings, rehearsals, and other activities.  All groups meeting in the church are requested to coordinate with the church office so that we can clean the building/rooms accordingly.  Anyone attending a meeting is requested to practice good hygiene, and to stay home if you feel ill.
If additional changes need to be made to March plans, we will provide updates via the Loop.  Please contact the church office or a leader if you have specific questions.

At this time, April events are not affected.  We will continue to monitor the situation and reassess in the near future.

In these challenging times, let’s remember that we are the church of Jesus Christ, even though our services and gatherings look different.  We possess an everlasting hope!  Our pastors, deacons, and leaders will continue to shepherd and care for our people, and we will continue to reach out to our community as we live out our vision to “pursue God and His passion for people.”

Please continue to take an active part in the life of our church through joining us virtually for worship, gathering with others, ministering to friends and neighbors, and through financial support of Trinity’s vision.

Finally, please pray for our national, state, and local leaders, healthcare workers, and everyone affected by any illness.

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.  I do not give to you as the world gives.  Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” (John 14:27)

Jesus is still Lord!
